A Family that Plays Together...

Last Sunday we held a Carnival Night at our home. It was kind of spontaneous. Joel and Natalie just decided to have a game night. While Kaitlin and I went to a baby shower, they got everything set.

For dinner we had fruit crepes. Kaitlin & Joel were in charge of preparing those while Natalie and I decorated a chocolate cake with sprinkles.

Then it was time to play some games. Natalie was beside herself with excitement since she and her dad had planned the games and she was the one in charge of giving the directions. We painted pictures on papers that we put on top of our heads, tried to guess the word that was taped to our backs, kept ballons in the air and had a pretend horse race (of course Natalie "won" that).

Then we moved on to more "risky" games like choosing a partner and having them lay on the floor while the other person tried to drop chocolate pudding in their mouths (that was a messy one). Then we had a relay race passing fruit to each other without using our hands, and the grand finale was a marshmallow fight.

I was beat by the end of the evening but we all enjoyed our little "carnival night"and the girls are already making plans for the next one.
