We have been experiencing some ‘storms” in our extended family for some time now. It has been rough, to say it mildly, and it has affected all of us. Our family is dysfunctional in that sense, we get overly involved into each other’s businesses and it becomes hard to detach from the situation and look at things objectively. We feed off each other in our frenzy to “calm down the storm” and our lives come to a standstill until the storm passes.
Today I received an e-mail from a co-worker; her signature included the quote on the picture above,
“… Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to d@nce in the r@in”
We face storms on a daily basis, granted, some storms are more like hurricanes, but if our attitude does not let us enjoy life until the storm passes, we will live a life devoid of any enjoyment. Easier said than done, I know, but I want to learn to d@nce in the r@in.
