I took that picture of Kaitlin on Monday, but that snow barely covered the ground and melted the same day. This what it looks like today outside. I think now is really here to stay!
The girls had their first snow day of the school year. They were ecstatic! Not me, I do not ever get snow days at work. Here are a couple of pictures I took of the scenery while driving to work this morning.
That's a pack of wild turkeys crossing the street!
I am now in full holiday mood, nostalgia and all!

Oh what pretty pictures! Your house looks beautiful with all the snow around it. Neat to see turkeys crossing the street too! You're lucky to live in such a beautiful area.
Gorgeous pics! We had an odd bit of snow down here in NC earlier this week, but it was all melted by mid-day.
Wow! What gorgeous pictures. And I LOVE that you stopped to photograph the turkeys on the way to work. Definitely living in the moment.
I'm so glad we don't have snow like that yet here (we had a big storm but it didn't stick). Maybe we'll get another week or so of Indian Summer. Or maybe not.
Wow Ily, those are great pictures. I can't believe you already have the tree up. It looks great!
Hugs;)
