This conversation took place as we were getting off the car to go into the grocery store this morning.
Natalie: Mami, I’m going to go by myself to get some fruit snacks that come in boxes.
Natalie: Mami, I’m going to go by myself to get some fruit snacks that come in boxes.
Mom: Natie, you can’t walk around the grocery store all by yourself I have to go with you.
Natalie: Mami, I have to show you that I’m growing up and I’m becoming a big girl so you won’t be disappointed.
Mom: Natie, I’m not disappointed, I don’t want you to be a big girl yet, I want you to still be my baby. Plus I get worried when I don’t know where you are.
Natalie: Oh mami! You don’t have to worry because God is always with me.
That was her argument for letting her run around the grocery store unsupervised. How are you supposed to answer that one?
