Well, our summer has officially come to an end. Today the girls started school. Both girls were excited, Natalie kept saying, I can't believe I'm going to go to Kaitlin's school.
I'm so glad it worked out that way! We had registered her already at the public school because she missed the birthdate cut off by three weeks, but at the last minute I decided to push a little more aggressively and asked the school officials to consider accepting her even though she was a little younger, and they did!
Kaitlin has mixed feelings about having her little sister in the same school, she is afraid she is going to "embarrass" her, but at the same time she is happy Natalie can have the same Kindergarten teacher she had. Personally, I know Kaitlin will take good care of her little sister, and I feel better knowing she is there in case Natalie needs her.
Here are some of the obligatory first day pictures. Did you notice that I got the girls outfits that would coordinate with their backpacks? That was totally intentional! Now you all have proof of my obsessive compulsions.

Wow girls you both look so big! I love the outfits and your 'matching' backpacks....K's almost looks 'scrapbookish' with the doodling on the front. LOVE IT! Here's wishing you a school year full of fun, learning & excitement. Think hard, learn alot, speak kindly and be a friend!
All our love, Heldy, Ralph & Emme
XOXO
Cute girls! Our first day is next week and baby sister will also be attending the same school as the twins.
Hope their first day went well!
Aw! Very cute! I like how you matched the outfits.
You have beautiful daughters. I hope their first day was a good one.

I love the coordination! Awesome.
Going back to school in August just seems wrong. What's up with that?
Your daughters are beautiful! I love the coordinating outfits - that sounds like something I would do. LOL
Gorgeous girls. My son sometimes complains about having to go to the same school as his sister, but I know that he also feels some pride when she waves to him at lunch or he loves to watch her performances.
I loved how you matched their outfits!! to cute!! I'm sad.. as this year will be my daughters LAST first day of school picture!! :(
