I have recently seen several people posting 16 Things About Me in their blogs and Facebook and decided this was a good time to put together a list About Me. Here it is in random order:
1. I am an introvert. I get very overwhelmed at big parties or crowds. I am happier in a small group of friends and family.
2. When I am listening to a book on CD I hold the CD Jacket in my hand and continuously glance at it like if I was actually reading. In addition, after I finish listening to the book, I do not consider it read until I go to the library and actually get the book in my hands and read a few pages.
3. I get nervous when I take my car to have the oil changed and they do the lights check. Right… Left…. Brights…..I mean, it is nerve racking!
4. I am awful at small talk. I despise it. I hate the awkward silences and the nervous laughs. I never know what to say. I realize is an annoying necessity but there should be a shortcut into deeper conversations. I am better at those. See #1.
5. I am extremely near sighted, close to legally blind without my contacts or glasses. It took my parents 15 years to realize this and get me glasses. I swear my memories of my childhood are foggy because of it.
6. I rarely swear in Spanish but I admit to dropping some English swearing words when in the heat of an argument with my husband. For some reason swearing words in English do not seem as bad as in Spanish.
7. I do not like animals in my house. I have tried before and it never does work out.
8. My dream place always involves the ocean even though I cannot swim and do not deal well with warm weather.
9. I am a perfectionist and a planner therefore I am usually frustrated and seldom feel accomplished.
10. I am continuously re-arranging furniture at home. Would continuously change wall colors too if I could afford it.
11. My favorite day is Thursday. We do not have any scheduled extra curricular activities and no lunches to make for school the next day.
12. I only like one perfume, L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci. Any other fragrance makes me nauseous.
13. I love all pizza except Pizza Hut.
14. I do not have a favorite color but my youngest daughter tells everyone I love green.
15. I normally can find my way around when driving, except when I am guiding a caravan of cars, then I usually get lost.
16. I spend an excessive amount of time lurking around blogs and facebook.

Ha! I love Thursdays too. Mostly, because it's the prelude to an easy day: Friday. And yes, the no lunches to pack, and no having to pack snow-clothes for the kids' recess Thursday night is a huge factor too!
